About Use Your Noodles And Anja

Welcome To Use Your Noodles, a food blog with wholesome easy seasonal recipes and beautiful photography.

Hi, my name is Anja. I am an ecology graduate with a passion for cooking/baking and photography. I live in a small country in the middle of Europe called Slovenia with my husband and my son.

I started this blog in 2015 because I wanted to create a sort of like an online cookbook for myself. I’m bad at writing down and following recipes, but this blog helped a lot with that! I took one an a half year off blogging in 2017 (with occasional pop-ups) to spend more time with my adorable baby boy.

A few of my favorite things are my extended family, gatherings with friends, abandoned places (man I’d love to own and renovate an old abandoned house one day!) and steaming hot showers even in the Summer.

My Food Philosophy – I believe great dishes can be made with basic pantry staples and some fresh seasonal produce. The recipes you’ll find here are inspired by the fresh ingredients, colors and places I love most. I strive to live healthy-ish and I incorporate this in my recipes, but I strongly believe in balance. A little indulgence here and there is totally fine in my book. You can find all kinds of recipes here, including vegetarian and vegan. Because of my son’s egg allergy, there are more egg-free recipes lately. When choosing ingredients I always suggest non-processed, local and seasonal foods.

Food Photography – I was always a creative person and I dreamt of becoming an architect for years. I decided to become an ecologist, which also didn’t turn out to be the perfect ‘job’ for me. Very soon after I started this blog I realized food photography is my home, it’s where I can express my creativity and crazy ideas.

To Work with Me – I am available for freelance work as a food stylist, food photographer, and recipe developer. Please send any inquiries in an email to [email protected]. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
